Early version: documents are read for real, but accuracy has not been measured yet and accounting-software connections are not ready. Review every document before approving it.
العربية

Free tool

Amount in words (tafqeet)

Type the amount and pick the currency to see it in words, in Arabic and in English.

Runs on your device. What you type here is not sent anywhere.

In Arabic

فقط ألف ومئة وخمسون ريالاً سعودياً لا غير

In English

One thousand one hundred fifty Saudi riyals only

Review the wording before it goes on a document. Arabic allows other valid forms (such as case endings), and this is one common on invoices.

How are the numbers written?

  • 1 and 2 take the singular and the dual (one riyal, two riyals).
  • 3 to 10 take the plural (three riyals), and 11 to 99 take a singular accusative (eleven riyals).
  • The halala and the baisa are feminine, so the number agrees (خمس هللات). The fils is masculine.
